Steve Warrener is Managing Director and Finance and Corporate Services Director at Transport for Greater Manchester.  

As Managing Director, Steve is responsible for the day to day running of the organisation that has an annual expenditure of around £350 million. In his role as Finance and Corporate Services Director, Steve is responsible for the financial management of the organisation and for the negotiation, procurement and the commercial management of a number of significant service and major infrastructure contracts. He also plays a major role in securing funding and financing and in generating commercial revenues. 

Steve has been with Transport for Greater Manchester for 15 years and has previously held senior finance roles at Manchester Airport and in a number of private sector organisations, working in the UK and in Europe, where he specialised in M&A and fundraising.

Steve qualified as an accountant with KPMG, working in Audit and Corporate Finance teams in the UK (in London and Liverpool) and in Perth, Australia. He holds a BA Hons in Modern Languages from Liverpool University and is a fluent French speaker.
