Member webinar: Sharing success - How the DfT became a Times Top 50 Employer for Women

Last year, the Department for Transport was recognised as one of the Top 50 Employers for Women by The Times. Join DfT’s Jade Jones (Inclusion Lead) and Jess Bostock (Gender Equality Network Co-Chair) as they share how this was achieved and the steps the Department has taken to make it a better workplace for women.

We recognise that women continue to be significantly underrepresented in our sector, particularly at the most senior levels and we know that our members have a keen interest in addressing this imbalance.  A key goal for our Business Plan this year is to support our members to better reflect the diversity of the people and places they serve, recognising that this fosters inclusion and fairness as well as improved decision making. This webinar forms part of these efforts.

The webinar will cover the role of DfT’s gender networks and champions; how it promotes culture change, allyship and women's health; and its inclusive recruitment processes designed to attract a more diverse range of candidates. There will also be Q&A session. This is a great opportunity to learn from an employer in our sector that has been recognised for good practice in gender equality.
