Ben Still

Ben Still joined West Yorkshire Combined Authority (CA) in February 2016, leading the organisation that as well as the Combined Authority. As part of his role he also supports the Local Enterprise Partnership and City Region Leaders, as well as leading the rail planning work for Transport for the North as part of its senior officer team.
Ben’s background is in transport and economic development, policy making and delivery. Previously he led the Sheffield City Region Executive, supporting the Sheffield LEP, and was interim Director General of the South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive. In this role he led the creation of the Sheffield City Region infrastructure programmes, the Combined Authority, the Strategic Economic Plan and series of Devolution deals culminating in the Mayoral deal last year.
Ben has experience in both the private and public sectors, including a decade in Whitehall as well as several years in economic consultancy based in both London and Yorkshire.
