Leicester joins pteg!

Press release

Leicester City Council has joined pteg as an associate member.

Leicester will join pteg’s existing associate members – Nottingham City Council, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport and Transport for London.

pteg Director, Jonathan Bray, said:

‘We are very pleased to welcome LeicesterCity Council as the latest associate member of the pteg network. Although pteg policy and direction will continue to be set by the six PTEs and ITAs, we place great value on the contribution that our associate members make to the professional networks that pteg operates. These networks also help save money for the public purse through the commissioning of joint consultancy and procurement projects.

‘Having Leicester as part of the pteg network will also reinforce pteg’s role as the leading voice on urban transport issues for public sector transport authorities.’

John Dowson, who leads the Sustainable Transport team at Leicester City Council said:

‘We are pleased to have been invited to become associate members and look forward to contributing to the work of pteg, especially in the field of smart and integrated ticketing, to bring forward improved services for passengers.’
